OPEN FOR BUSINESS

I'll admit, I've been slow on the artwork. I have in fact been working on those requests posted, but at the same time I hit a few snags that slowed things down big time. Just understand that I am NOT coloring these things in, and that they ARE going to going to be sketches. Quality, but please make sure this is known. I fucking hate coloring work in general as it stands.

1. Had what is believed to be a heart attack, fell and did damage to the shoulder/arm(I took a pic of this in case someone wants to call bullshit excuse time, I can back up my claim).

2. Laid off. Due to NYC cutbacks, I lost my job. So no funding, and time spent more on finding work/not being depressed over losing a good paying career that was recession free.

3. Design/character issues. While a good number of people draw some of these characters, due to how I draw my characters I hit major roadblocks in trying to take pre-existing characters and draw them my way.

4. Reflecting back is also factoring in, I still can recall the old forum(AVGDID, not Pax for those wondering) and thinking back to when I used to draw requests, and to other crap like doing trades and never seeing my end of the thing, or wondering what happened to artists like Ryuji(One of the few who actually gave me real art pointers and spared me the typical bullshit. He also was one of the FEW who actually drew Nela). His words are one of the few reasons I kept going.

5. Practice was needed. I'm not saying I can't draw, I certainly can...but as I've taken on this kinda sketchy style lately, I've been prone to just not give two shits about post production, or getting certain things right. Still got A LOT of learning to do, but I continue to learn tricks to make life easier, and at the same time, it's like a video game for me, I unlock skills that come in VERY handy.

So in short, I have more art coming, but in typical fashion, it's going to be late beyond what I had originally planned. So if your a fan of the crap I draw/someone else obsessed with females in overalls...who are usually tied up, expect more.
